I transcribed this interview between Wim Mertens and John Cage, taken from the rare cassette compilation A Dip in the Lake and apologies for the overkill contrasting photos. I mean, did they really need to use one with Cage holding a kitty? Why not have one of Branca holding a bag with a live cat while holding a cigarette while you’re at it?
